A Stroll in THE City

All the places that she has ever been to are cherished in her  young spirit. Maybe she walked down THAT street  one thousand times. Even though she can't remember  what she did there each time, she feels like  she knows that street  by heart  as a part  of her collective memories. She knows that  after the traffic lights  there is a statue  waving to her  across the street. She knows that  there is the black & red coffee shop at the end of the road.  She can even discern the bitterness of their coffee (merely through the power  of her thoughts). As she walks in the streets, all her memories bloom  like the thirsty flowers do after moistening their lips with sacred water. She stars to find the little pieces  of HER jigsaw puzzle. This discovery  makes her heart feel a warm sparkle of sunshine. The one that you usually feel  during springtime. She went away with a cheerful grin, reminiscent of...

My Mind Is A Deciduous Tree

My thoughts are shedding their leaves. The ones that were accepted as the truth to follow, now seem to change their colour. They softly fall from my sallow face down to the floor. I remain seated in silence on a tall wall, observing each ‘‘thought fall’’. I try to recall the old shapes and colours. Sometimes it’s so effortless. Other times it’s very arduous. However, I won't surrender and continue until the last leaf. I acknowledge that this is a natural process. My mind is a deciduous tree; with every ‘‘thought fall’’ there will be a revival.

Stepping Into The Unknown

You ventured  into the uncharted territory. As you navigated  through the bustling city streets,  you gradually  became acquainted with the intricacies of each thoroughfare. Certain streets and faces have already become  familiar to you. The unknown gradually became known. The unfamiliar individuals gradually  transformed into  valued companions. It started dawning upon you that their absence  will be keenly felt. Nonetheless, you are delighted that  YOUR PATH have fortuitously crossed  with multiple others.

The Sailboat

Did my feet bring me there, OR  my ambition to be somewhere? AND is that somewhere really what I ever wished for surely? MAYBE.  However,  is a small sailboat  in the mercy of the sea breeze really able to resist the waves? Even if it's not, eventually,  couldn't it enjoy the journey only? BUT  should it? WHY NOT? Wasn't it designed  to explore the uncharted seas?

My Alter Ego

A mirror; broken into minor, unidentifiable pieces. Its pieces are scattered all around the house. Here, whenever you enter a new room, you encounter an undetected piece. For this time, you decided to scrutinize  the one you recently discovered. However, it's not  and will not be the only one. You know it, but you can't resist the temptation. For you, all of them seem to be the same. Yet, they are very different. Each is unique. Their size and shape differ. Some may harm you, others may not. All are equally important. The loss of a single piece means the loss of the ''whole'' mirror. But wasn't the mirror already broken?
